Visit to Áras an Uachtarain

The President of Ireland, Mrs Mary McAleese, hosted afternoon tea at Áras an Uachtarain on Friday 12 February 2010 for  St. Joseph’s Young Priests Society, The President described as “wonderful” the work of young priests in the Church in a special reception to coincide with the “Year for Priests".

Mrs Marie Hogan,  President of St. Joseph’s Young Priests Society, thanked President McAleese for her warm welcome.

Joseph Merrick, Communications Director of SJYPS said the purpose of the visit was to highlight the “very positive role” played by so many priests in society.
